Our Project STARTING IN 2026: Afforestation of the BREITENBACH MUNICIPAL FOREST in ALSACE

The project, located in the Breitenbach municipal forest in the Bas-Rhin region, is part of an ecological forest restoration initiative. Repeated droughts, rising temperatures, and disease outbreaks are weakening forest stands, particularly certain historical species.
In light of these findings, the municipality, in partnership with the National Forestry Office (ONF), has committed to sustainable and adaptive forest management, focused on the future. The project will cover a total area of 14 hectares, including 3 hectares dedicated to reforestation and 11 hectares of old-growth forest, which will ensure the resilience of the future forest.
Thanks to the eCO2 program, you are making a lasting contribution to reforestation in the Bas-Rhin region.

More than details,

A closer look at our latest projects:

AMBER WOOD (2024-2025): The reforestation project located in the commune of Moulainville, in the Meuse department of the Grand Est region, is part of an ecological restoration initiative for forests affected by the consequences of climate change and repeated bark beetle infestations. The project will cover an area of 7 hectares and will implement a diverse planting scheme to ensure the resilience of the future forest. More information

THE LINDEN WOOD (2023-2024): The carbon capture project is located in the municipality of Villers-le-Tilleul, in the Ardennes department of the Grand Est region, and involves afforesting plots of land currently used as fallow land and pasture, covering a total area of 6,48 hectares. This afforestation will complement an existing forest. This forestry project is governed by the French Forestry Code. Eventually, the trees will be harvested, contributing to the local economy. PEFC certification

Beyond low-carbon labeling, this afforestation project aims for sustainable certification. Thanks to the eCO program2, you are making a lasting contribution to reforestation in France.

Careers

The companies that will carry out the work will be less than 50 km from the site. Thanks to the eCO program2, you support local employment.

Ecological Corridor

This afforestation will create a refuge on the ecological corridor. Thanks to the eCO program2, you support biodiversity.

+ transparency to compensate as accurately as possible

To know precisely the CO emissions2 linked to the transport of waste from each customer, the SCHROLL Group has equipped its entire fleet of vehicles with the device Fleetenergies. This patented device makes it possible to monitor CO emissions as closely as possible.2 of the Group's entire vehicle fleet, and therefore to calculate CO emissions in a fluid and transparent manner2 by transport.

There are 3 categories of eCO contributions2 which are linked to the mode of transport:

  • CAT 1: Dumpsters / Compactors: transport for a single customer with a vehicle > 3,5 t
  • CAT 2: Terminals / Grapple / Bins: shared transport as part of a tour with a vehicle > 3,5 t
  • CAT 3: Van: transport with a vehicle < or = 3,5 t
